Sagittarian Wind was a first reserve but now gets in at Gowran Park this evening, where we have two runners.

6.55 Sagittarian Wind (Shane Foley)

Sagittarian Wind is having her first run of the season after only one run last year.  She has been pleasing me in her work and is ready to start.  She has a disappointing draw in 15, but the trip and ground should suit her.

7.25 Shennan (Shane Foley)

Shennan made a very promising start to his career when finishing second at Cork to what looked a smart horse of Dermot Weld’s.  He has been pleasing me since.  He too has a disappointing draw in 15.  Despite this being a competitive maiden, I think he has a winning chance.

While we did not have any luck at the Curragh on Monday, it was great to be back racing there.  The new stand seems to be a big success despite there being some teething problems on the day.  It is great that we now have the facilities to match the world class track.  It is an exciting time for the Curragh and we wish them luck going forward.  The project is a credit to all that contributed in so many ways to make it happen.  I think they should be proud of the result.

On another note, I would like to congratulate Nikica Jenjic our travelling headman and Ivan Vuckovic who is a key member our staff, who both own Golden Sea, a very impressive winner of the Hungarian 1000 Guineas over the weekend – Ivan travelled over to cheer her on.  The filly was purchased by the lads as a yearling at Goffs.  Full credit to them for a job well done.
