While both horses ran well in Meydan last night, Surrounding ran really well and saw out the trip really well when fourth in the Gr2 Balanchine.  She may have one more run before she returns home.

Unfortunately the draw came against Massif Central and he just got shunted back through the field.  He was a long way back turning in and stayed on really well to finish sixth, beaten just over three lengths – in the circumstances, it was a good run.  He too will have one more run before he returns home later in the month.

We have two runners at Dundalk this evening.

5.30        SAMPERS SEVEN (Niall McCullagh)

Sampers Seven has strengthened up nicely since her last run.  She is stepping up to six furlongs which we think she will get.  Eglish sets the standard and I am very happy with the way our filly has been working – I am expecting a big run from her.

7.30        GOUGANE BARRA (Niall McCullagh)

Gougane Barra has a good draw, which is important in these races.  A reproduction of his last run should see him run very well.  It looks competitive as you would expect.  Both distance and conditions are ideal for him – I expect a big run from him too.
