Our horses remain in very good form and we bring two to Dundalk tonight and I’m optimistic that they’ll both be competitive in their respective races and my thoughts on them are below.

5.45  Haifa (Ronan Whelan)

She is a progressive filly and has come forward again since her last run at Dundalk. She has been working well and has three lengths to find with Assurance (our filly was fifth and Assurance was third), on their run the last day behind Aerclub. There are a few newcomers to note, and for a December maiden at Dundalk, this looks a very competitive contest. Our filly is in good shape and her work at home this week has been very solid, so she goes there with her chance.

8.15  Arcanears (Adam Farragher)

He got no luck up here last week, when beaten just over a length over five and I thought with a clear run, he would have gone close. It is rare for me to back one up this quick, but it’s a lovely pot, with a small field and he was so well at home this week that we’ve decided to let him take his chance. Six around here will be fine for him and we know that he handles the surface. I’m taking 7lbs off him with Adam, as he’s 4lbs ‘wrong’. With just nine runners, the draw shouldn’t be a huge issue and he is fresh and well and I’m hopeful of a big run from him.
