It was a great weekend at the Curragh with most enjoyable racing.  It was great to see that the management put so many things right since the opening meeting.  We now have a stand to match the world class racecourse and it is something we all should be proud of – I hope it gets the support it deserves in the future.

On the track we enjoyed a great weekend – 2 winners and 4 placings from 8 runners.  The horses remain in great health and are running really well.

The action is in Gowran Park today where we have 3 runners.

Castle Guest is in great form and despite this looking a competitive claimer, I think he has a great chance.  He is the stable favourite and it would be great if we could win another race with him at the age of 10 – he still retains all his enthusiasm.

Cartesienne has a good draw.  She is a filly that we like and we are looking forward to getting her started.  She has a lovely attitude and she will come on from her run.

Kodianne got upset going to post on her last day @ Gowran and also was found to be in season, so that run is best ignored.  I would be hopeful of her reproducing the form that saw her placed 2nd at Gowran last season.  That run would give her every chance tonight.
