Myself and Louise enjoyed our 2 days at Cheltenham. It never fails to provide the best of entertainment and what a week the Irish trainers and jockeys are having. Long may it last.
I’m heading to Dundalk tonight where we have 5 runners. We start off with Russian Soul and Invincible Ryker in the 7.30. Russian Soul ran a blinder for Dean Curran last week and a repeat of that effort should see him in the frame again.
Invincible Ryker is having his last run for us before he leaves to continue his career in Singapore. He too is working well and has had a successful winter in Dundalk, winning 3 times. Seven furlongs suits him well and despite a wide draw he should run well.
We run Rummaging back after a good run on Monday, finishing 4th and where the slow pace didn’t suit him. He is up to winning one of these handicaps, where things fall right for him.
Slievenabrock disappointed last Friday and we will change tactics tonight. On his homework he would run well in a race like this. We hope he can show more tonight.
Finally, we have Yamato in the mile Handicap at 9pm. This looks a good quality race with plenty of Dundalk specialists taking their chance. With 8.04 on his back, he will appreciate it as he’s been running under big weights recently. We are hoping for a big run from him.
