We’ll be light enough runners wise this weekend, but Riyazan worked well during the week and he’ll take his chance in the Beresford Stakes at Naas on Sunday.
He ran well in what looked a good race on Champions Day at Leopardstown and Pat Smullen sat on him on Wednesday and he was very pleased with him. He worked well and the plan is that he’ll take his chance at Naas.
My horse was done no favours by the draw the last day at Leopardstown and Pat felt that if he was drawn a bit better, he’d have finished a good second. He has come on again for that and we’ll learn a bit more about him on Sunday.
I hope that it stops raining soon and if the ground is reasonable, I plan to run Katiymann in the mile handicap at Naas and I’ll also run a nice horse in the two year old maiden called Alashtar.
He will be having his first start and he is a horse that probably wants to go a mile already, but the season is getting on and he needs to get started and he will learn plenty for the experience.
Smugglers Creek will take his chance in the mile claimer at Dundalk on Friday night. He should run a good race – he has been a late developer but his recent work has been good.
Invincible Ryker bumped into a smart filly when second in his maiden at Fairyhouse on Wednesday and he should be able to get his head in front in a similar race.
Rehana looks great and is working well and she is in the Concorde Stakes at Tipperary, but the ground will need to dry out for her take her chance in that.
She also holds an entry in the Challenge Stakes at Newmarket. We’ll just have to see what the weather does and if it dried up, there is a good chance that she could go to Newmarket.
I’ve just posted a message up on the website today about a new syndicate that we are in the process of setting up and anyone interested is welcome to contact us. We hope it will be of interest to people and we look forward to hearing from you.
