The horses continue to run well and thankfully, we appear to have a lovely bunch of two year olds and it was great to win another Curragh maiden last Friday with Sinawann. He’s a smashing horse and it’s great to have horses like him in the yard.
They are the best bunch of two year olds that I’ve trained and most of them have yet to run. We have a nice line of form with them – both Zarzyni and Roman Turbo have done well already this season (Zarzyni runs at The Curragh tomorrow) and while we are into the final half of the season, it’s an exciting time of the year.
Surrounding has developed into a very good stakes performer for us this season and the plan had been run her in the Fairy Bridge Stakes at Tipperary today, but she was found to be in season this morning, so she won’t run.
She has a couple of options on Champions Day at Leopardstown and we’ll make a call a bit closer to the time, as to which race she’ll run in.
We rely solely on Rayounpour, who’ll take his chance in the mile and a half maiden at Tipperary later today.
7.55 Rayounpour (Ronan Whelan)
He has been in good form since his last run and he has improved since. The form of his last run has worked out well and the first two home in that Curragh maiden, have both won since. He should be well suited by the mile and a half around here and the ground should be fine for him. I am looking forward to a big run from him.
