We have 4 runners at Dundalk tonight.
6.45 BALMARI (Ronan Whelan)
We start with Balmari, who is a colt we like a lot. The trip and surface will suit him well. This looks a strong maiden but I expect a good run form Balmari. He will, like most of ours improve for the run. He is well up to winning a maiden.
7.45 MALVOLIO (Niall McCullagh) & ELIZABETH WAY (Ronan Whelan)
Malvolio is a late developer and is only having his first run. He is a horse we have always liked and we are looking forward to getting him going. He is laid back at home and will improve for the run. I would have preferred a better draw.
Elizabeth Way has had a good break since her last run in Bellewstown. Dropping back to 10 furlongs should suit her and she loved the surface when working there recently. It looks a competitive race but I expect a good run from her.
8.14 GOUGANE BARRA (Ronan Whelan)
Gougane Barra is in great form and has been racing well. We have stepped him up in trip recently and he is doing well. He loves the surface and on his last run here on the 11th October when 3rd, would give him a winning chance. Jessie’s filly FOR YOUR EYES would be his biggest danger.
We have only one runner in Leopardstown tomorrow – SONAIYLA (Ronan Whelan) in the Tote Supporting Irish Racing 1930 Handicap at 3.40. Sonaiyla is in good form and is working well. She has a good draw in 2 and seven furlongs on safe ground looks ideal for her. It looks a competitive race with plenty of the runners in good form. I am expecting a good run from her.
