We have five runners in Dundalk today.

5pm Malvolio (Ronan Whelan)

Malvolio was very green first time out and has come forward in his work since.  He has got a good draw and will appreciate the step up to a mile and a half and he is capable of out running his odds.  He is a lazy worker at home but he is in good form.

We have three representatives in the 5.30.  It is never ideal having stable mates take on each other but there are no alternate options – we are happy to let them take their chance.

Lady De Vesci (Liam Browne)

Lady De Vesci got back to winning ways in a claimer and went up six pounds as a result.  She is a four time winner around Dundalk and with Liam Brown claiming a valuable ten pounds, she should run a good race.

Spelga (Ronan Whelan)

Spelga is having a wonderful season and is going for a four timer.  His work has been good and he continues in great form.  This is his toughest test so far but we remain hopeful.

Tirmizi (Eamonn Fitzgerald)

Tirmizi will be happier dropping back to a mile and a half and has been coming down the handicap steadily.  He should give Eamonn Fitzgerald a good spin.  With ten pounds off him I would not be surprised to see him run a big race.

7.30 Karbasann (Ronan Whelan)

Karbasann is in good form since his last run and he has been pleasing me in his work.  On form it looks a match between him and Dark Vader.  In receipt of five pounds I am hopeful of a big run from him.

We will have more updates tomorrow on Friday’s runners.
