We have our first runner of the year at the Dubai Racing Carnival today. Rehana runs in the 5.25pm (Irish time), the Longines Moon Phase Master Collection. She is drawn in 8 and Pat Smullen travels out to ride her.
Her preparation has gone really well since arriving in Dubai. It looks an ultra competitive handicap as you would expect, but we’re looking forward to seeing her on the favourite good ground over 7 furlongs. We’re hoping for a big run.
Her next outing is planned to be the Cape Verdi, a Group 2 race in 2 weeks time.
Riyazan, who had a temperature after travelling, has recovered well and is in light exercise. His first engagement is not until March 1st in the Meydan Classic (Listed) and we have plenty of time on our side to prepare him before this race.
